Move Mindset

Move.Connect.

Feel like yourself again.

Support for women who are feeling stuck…..to move forwards, with confidence and feel like themselves again.

You Are at a new threshold.

There comes a moment in midlife when what once worked no longer does.

You’ve outgrown the pattern — yet the next step feels uncertain.

We help you step forwards with confidence at this moment.

Through guided walking sessions, behavioural change, and a powerful identity-level framework, we create momentum where there was hesitation. Not through force. Not through endless analysis. But through embodied movement and deliberate shift.

We begin with forward steps — focused sessions to unlock stuck behaviour and restore clarity.
WalkActive sessions focus on learning a repeatable process for change.
And for those ready for profound transformation, we offer a 12-week evolution into grounded, self-led momentum.

This is not about becoming someone new.
It is about walking forward as the woman you are.

Begin with Forward Steps.
Reclaim direction. Restore momentum. Move forward.

At Move Mindset we offer you a kinder way forwards.

Using gentle, practical tools and techniques, we support women in peri-menopause and beyond to:

gently move forwards

start to shift your thinking

recognise emotional and mental blocks that may be preventing you from staying healthy and well

reduce self-consciousness and inner pressure

reconnect with your body as it is now

discover new possibilities

  • Our Menopause Walks bring women in midlife together to walk and talk, and have space away from everyday challenges; physical, mental and emotional. The Walks encourage movement in a gentle way, and the opportunity for connection with like-minded people.

Menopause Walks can also support your organisation to encourage regular movement and connection through organised walks. Please contact Move Mindset for more details.

  • The Coffee Pause is an hour long, lunchtime group which brings together women to offer a space away from the desk or office to learn, explore and talk about relevant topics related to Health and Wellbeing in Midlife and beyond.

Each session has a theme and some educational element about health and wellbeing, but at the heart of group is the opportunity to talk in person, and learn from others about what has worked for them, as well as thinking about what has been discussed and how you might then apply it in your own life.

  • Focused strategy sessions to unlock stuck behaviour and restore momentum.

In these 60 minute sessions, we identify unhelpful patterns and recognised a clear behavioural change which ecologically fits into your life right now. You leave with clarity, direction and immediate movement forwards.

The session can be held face to face (and whilst walking) or online, depending on your preference.

We recommended starting with 3 sessions and then you can add more if required.

  • Learn the Method. Shift the pattern. Build sustainable momentum.

In this 2 hour group session you will cover:

    • Awareness of current walking approach and the impact on your body from feet to head.

    • Learn the 4 parts of WalkActive and how they benefit you and your body.

    • Start to practiee the WalkActive Method.

Like any new technique, it takes time and practice to fully embed the technique. However, it is possible to experience the feeling of walking differently within this session, so that you can repeat the pattern once you leave the session.

These group sessions are also available 1-1 or online.

We know that exercise and movement are beneficial at any age. Much of the messaging around movement in midlife and beyond is that it becomes even more important. In menopause, there are so many reasons why exercise is a helpful strategy. However, the challenge, as always, is that there are so many barriers. So how do we overcome these and make movement a constant part of our everyday existence?

In this month’s Coffee Pause we take time to think about this and what might motivate you going forwards.

Come along and join our community. Learn, explore and connect.

Frequently asked Questions

  • Move Mindset’s mission is to help you shift your mindset. Our thoughts and emotions play such a significant part in our actions and behaviours day to day. However, much of our thinking happens automatically, and so we don’t recognise how those thoughts might impact our daily life.

At Move Mindset, movement is key. We support you in recognising the thoughts that are stopping you, creating barriers, influencing the actions that you take, so you can make change on your terms.

  • Health and Wellness Coaching is a process that helps to empower people to recognise their own strengths. It helps people to gain the skills, confidence and motivation to take action.

The systems in our body are CONNECTED in so many intricate ways. By addressing one area, this will have a knock on effect into other areas of your life.

Health and wellness coaching helps to support self-management i.e. recognising what you need in life to thrive, and giving you the confidence to do this on your own, knowing that help is there when you need it.

“Above all do not lose your desire to walk. Everyday, I walk myself into a state of wellbeing and walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it. But, by sitting still, and the more one sits still, the closer one comes to feeling ill. Thus if one just keeps on walking, everything will be alright.”

— Soren Kierkegaard

WalkActive Testimonial from Claire

“The whole experience was really useful and I enjoyed both sessions. The sequential way that Faye built on the basics of the technique through to ways to improve pace was great.

Walking Coaching Testimonial from Clare

“After just three sessions, I felt my head spin slow down. The goal setting really helped me to find manageable focus. I thought I already knew what I needed to do, but I just hadn’t gotten round to it. Going through this process has broken down obstacles I didn’t know I had and unlocked a clear, manageable direction for me. It has enabled me to form and stick to habits. Move Mindset has completely reset my focus. The walking sessions made the experience really enjoyable. I would highly recommend.”

About Faye Andrews, Founder of Move Mindset

I’m a Health and Wellbeing Coach, business owner, wife and mum of two children. I spend a fair amount of time at Ice Rinks and at the side of football pitches supporting my kids sporting passions.

I’ve been studying, learning and working with a focus on Health and Wellbeing for 15 years.

Pre-2010 my career and life was very different. I would describe myself as a worrier, and that was very much part of my identity. This became all consuming in my work as a Tax Manager in my Corporate role. Whilst I received positive feedback and appraisals in my work, I was always wondering was I good enough? Could I deliver what was expected of me? What was I going to say when I met those new clients? How was I ever going to get all the work done? What was wrong with me? As a result my overall health and wellbeing declined. I just wasn’t coping with the pressure that I put on myself.

Following a career break to consider my options, I decided to pursue a completely different path and began a course in Nutrition. During my studies I was introduced to the concepts of Neuro-Linguistic programming and more broadly, coaching as tools for helping people to make lifestyle changes.

I instantly recognised the value of coaching for my own personal challenges around excessive worrying, but also as a tool to help work with others to explore what they really want and how they might overcome barriers and conflicts. It ignited a passion for coaching which I continue to develop. I went on to become a Master Practitioner in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming).

As a business owner, its taken time to get from the initial seeds of an idea, to making a full time commitment and having the confidence and self-belief to follow my passion. This process of discovery led me to recognise that I became more focused, more creative, more committed and less fearful, if I incorporated physical movement into every day. Whilst I always recognised the importance of exercise, there had been many situations and other choices made, where I didn’t prioritise movement, and the outcome in terms of my mental health and the impact on my behaviour, relationships and decisions, were not always great.

My mission then became clear - to help people to move more, as a way of accessing all of the mental and physical benefits and often social connection that comes with movement and exercise.

“Exercise is the key not only to physical health but to peace of mind” Nelson Mandela.
